Modern Homes
t is clear in these years of economical downturns around the world that the housing market has taken a bit of a beating. Indeed, those who bought houses that were simply too much for them ended up with something that was valued astatine less than the money they borrowed to buy it. This negative equity situation has sent people in search of a way to build a home but in a much more economical way and this could just be in the form of a prefabricated building. Modular home prices ar within reach of most of us and some people even use these as a second holiday venue or as a way to start a business right there in the back yard.

However, just by having a pre-built set up does not mean that we have to give up on style. Although it is commonly thought that these houses are rather boxy looking, nothing could be further from the truth these days. There are many designs promptly available for the buyer, but the manufacturers will alter and redesign the building to make it fit into what the customer wants.
Some people will want to construct a more traditional style place but this can take an inordinate amount of time and cash too. Difficulties in the finishing materials always appear to rear its ugly head just when the family may be looking forward to the move. Even delays due to inclement weather can add months to the expected finish date so it is important that people take this into account when they start the whole project.

Of course, the wonders of modern technology mean that these prefabricated houses ar simply bolted together in a matter of a day or two. Even those who have no construction experience merely have to use a screwdriver and a few other tools to finish the job. As long as the foundations ar professionally finished, the whole thing can be put up very quickly and can be tenanted as soon as the furniture is moved in.
Floor plans for these wonderful places are really easy to work out and it is really only the imagination which limits what can be done. Some people will even design the whole place themselves and then leave it up to the manufacturer to interpret these plans in a way that is satisfactory to both parties.

Those who ar extra clever will surely add in some other extra materials too like stone fire chimneys and breasts. This gives the whole place that look of sustainability which comes with the more traditional place but it really fools the eye since most of the building will be just bolted together.

Of course, since most of the materials are man-made, they ar extremely easy to take care of and resistant to pests which would normally eat through wood at an alarming rate. Those parts that are natural, like wood sidings etc, will be pre-treated in the factory so they should be safe right from day one.

If you want a house with chic, clean lines and a fresh, updated feel, you will probably enjoy the look of an ultra-modern home interior design. The primary benefit of this type of design is that it offers a wide variety of choices when it comes to colors, fabrics and decorations that you can use, making it easy for you to come up with an overall look that is truly your own.

The trademark look of modern home interior design is that of class and elegance without the frills and extravagance that designs of previous decades are known for. On the contrary, the furniture and architecture used in modern home interior design are very simple, to the point of being quite minimalist. The colors are very solid as well, and the shapes are mostly geometrical. Intricate designs and lavishly ornamental pieces are very rarely, if ever, found in modern home interior design.

A Contemporary Look

Most of the appliances and furniture used in modern design are made from a combination of stainless steel, glass, plastic and leather, making for a very contemporary look. However, wood elements are also a nice addition to any modern room. The rich, dark tones of walnut and mahogany can soften the atmosphere in the area and they complement the coldness of metal and other modern materials.

Speaking of metal, no modern home interior design is complete without its share of metallic elements. Stainless steel in undoubtedly the most popular choice today, perhaps because of the relatively low cost, but there are also other metals that work effectively in a modern environment. Brushed nickel cabinet handles and chrome floor lamps for instance, are always excellent highlights. In general, any metal that is sleek and shiny will be a perfect fit in any modern home.

Modern Theme Color

Color is another important factor that one should consider when designing a room or a home with a modern theme. A lot of people think that neutral colors are the best choice when it comes to modern design, but this doesn’t always have to be the case. You can stick with a beige or gray wall but you can offset the coldness of this hue by bringing in a deep red couch or adding royal blue drapes to your windows. These colors will not take away from the modern look of the room at all, but they can certainly add much-needed drama to the area.

The best thing about modern home interior design is that it is so easy to maintain and so comfortable to live in. This is probably the reason why millions of people prefer this kind of design today.

This is modern house called Sosnowski designed by Chen + Suchart Studio in Tempe, Arizona. Located on the outskirts of Tempe’s urban center, the home exudes an industrial aesthetic. A pronounced steel frame constructed from I-beams is the skeleton for the upper volume, which sits upon a concrete block base. The façade of the upper level is composed of thoughtfully placed windows and naturally weathered corrugated steel panels. The interior pairs concrete floors, exposed ductwork, and industrial light fixtures to create a loft-like atmosphere. Despite its industrial pretense, the Sosnowski Residence remains habitable and inviting thanks to a central gathering space on the ground level that merges the living, dining, and kitchen areas into a single space that fully opens to the surrounding city and desert.
